Scheduled times and time zones

PROMPTit Scheduling & automation

You pick times in your own local time; PROMPTit converts them for the server.

The Date and Time fields use the time zone of the computer or phone you are using. PROMPTit converts your choice and stores the exact moment, so the task starts at the right time wherever the server is.

  • The confirmation line Task will run at: … (your local time) shows the time you picked.
  • Dates in History are also displayed in your local time.
  • If teammates in other time zones open the task, they see the same moment in their own local time.

A scheduled task can start a little after the exact minute because the queue checks for due tasks regularly and runs one task per store at a time.
