PROMPTit focuses on the image itself. Each new image is saved with a basic alt text such as Featured image for product …, which is not useful for shoppers or search engines.
- Open the product with Edit in Shopify from the task details.
- Click the new image and choose to add or edit its alt text.
- Describe what the image shows, for example Oak side table with ceramic vase in a bright living room.
Start with your best-selling products and their featured images. Good alt text helps image search, Google Shopping and shoppers who use screen readers.
